Wauwatosa Walgreens building sold for $8.7 million

Sale price more than double assessed value

A Walgreens store building in Wauwatosa was sold to a New York investment firm for $8.67 million, according to state records.

The store, located at 2656 N. Wauwatosa Ave. was sold by Deerfield, Ill.-based Waltrust Properties Inc., a subsidiary of Walgreens, to New York-based CF Net Lease Portfolio VI.

The building, which sits on a 1.2 acre site at the corner of West Center Street, is assessed by the city of Wauwatosa for $3.48 million. It was built in 1997.

Paulette Enders, Wauwatosa development director with the city of Wauwatosa, said no plans have been submitted to make changes to the property.
