The Waukesha County Chamber of Commerce and Small Business Times announce the winners of the 2008 Top Ten Small Businesses of the Year Awards.

The companies were selected by an independent panel of judges, based upon criteria that included financial growth, employee growth, customer focus, employee relations and community service involvement.

“While we are constantly bombarded with messages telling us about the doom and gloom in our economy, businesses throughout Waukesha County are saying, ‘It’s not happening to us.’ With a record number of entries for the Waukesha County Chamber of Commerce/Small Business Times Top Ten Small Businesses of the Year, judges had a difficult time narrowing down the winners from the list of companies that had experienced record years and strong growth. Their stories of innovation, teamwork and dedication are a key to the continuing success of businesses in our region,” said Patti Wallner, president of the Waukesha County Chamber of Commerce.

The winners will be profiled in an upcoming edition of Small Business Times. The chamber’s Small Business of the Year will be announced at the luncheon on June 12.
