Waukesha-based City Press Inc. has acquired West Allis-based Image Plus.Printing

All eight employees from Image Plus will join City Press, which has 35 employees. City Press acquired the Image Plus business for an undisclosed price from Joe and Diana Zarr, who will be exiting the company.

The printing companies merged operations this weekend and now operate as City Press Inc. out of the existing 15,000-square-foot City Press facility at W238 N1650 Rockwood Drive in Waukesha. The former Image Plus building, which is about 18,000 square feet, will be sold. Some equipment will be moved into the City Press building.

With the merger, the companies will combine 75 years of experience and expertise to continue serving customers in southeastern Wisconsin.

“Combining the two companies and our considerable talent will provide customers with an extensive portfolio of printing capabilities, including digital imaging, full color printing, prepress and mailings,” said Rick Lau, president of City Press.

Lau said he hopes to hire additional employees going forward.
