WaterStone expands board

Wauwatosa-based WaterStone Bank SSB is adding two new members to its board of directors, expanding the group. Ellen Bartel and Kristine Rappe were appointed to the board on June 21.

Bartel, a Wauwatosa resident, has served as president of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in Milwaukee since 1998. She has improved the curriculum, facilities, financial infrastructure, image and reputation at the school, and also balances the budget and oversaw the endowment’s growth from less than $1 million to almost $10 million.

Rappe, a Milwaukee resident, is special advisor to the Wisconsin Energy Foundation in Milwaukee. Prior to the role, she worked at Wisconsin Energy Corporation for 30 years, most recently as senior vice president and chief administrative officer. She was responsible for shared services including information technology, human resources, supply chain management, business continuity/corporate security and the WEC Foundation. She also sits on the Marquette University Board of Trustees, the boards of Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, PAVE and chairs the board of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee.
