The United Performing Arts Fund will bring free entertainment to Milwaukee County parks on Saturday, May 10, thanks to a new partnership between its young professionals affinity group, Next Generation UPAF, and The Park People of Milwaukee.

Four free “Performing Arts in the Park” events will run in area parks on Saturday, each showcasing the talents of UPAF Member Groups.

The family-friendly performances include a rhythm workshop presented by Danceworks at Dineen Park Pavilion, 6601 W. Vienna St. in Milwaukee; a concert by Milwaukee Children’s Choir at Greenfield Park Pavilion, 2028 S. 124th St. in Milwaukee; a concert by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Arcas Quartet at Humboldt Park Pavilion, 3000 S. Howell Ave. in Milwaukee; and an interactive storytelling workshop presented by First Stage at Wilson Park Pavilion, 1601 W. Howard Ave. in Milwaukee.

Each event will be held indoors and will begin at 10 a.m. Space will be limited, and doors will open at 9:30 a.m.

“The Park People are excited about partnering with UPAF and brining the performing arts into our beautiful county parks,” said Jim Goulee, executive director of The Park People of Milwaukee County. “It is important to highlight the world-class performing arts and extensive park facilities local residents are so fortunate to have access to.”

Next Generation UPAF is sponsored by WE Energies Foundation.
