Unemployment claims fall nationally, but rise in Wisconsin again

The stock market rose with the news that the number of Americans who filed new applications for unemployment benefits fell to the lowest level in seven months, the U.S. Labor Department reported.
The department said initial jobless claims fell by 10,000 to a seasonally adjusted 390,000 in the week ended Nov. 5.
However, the number of first-time unemployment claims in Wisconsin increased again to 12,743 for the week from 12,301 in the prior week, according to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
