Tee off golf season at ‘PGA Championship: A Major Partnership’

BizTimes Media invites readers to kick off the Wisconsin golf season by attending the “2015 PGA Championship: A Major Partnership,” a special celebration which will take place Tuesday, April 28, in the Pilot House at Pier Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

The event will be presented by BizTimes Media and The PGA of America.

Registration for the event will start at 4:30 p.m., followed at 5 p.m. with a live discussion featuring Peter Bevacqua, chief executive officer of the PGA of America, and David Kohler, president and chief operating officer of Kohler Co. and general chairman of the 2015 PGA Championship, which will be held Aug. 10-16 at Whistling Straits in the community of Haven.

Bevacqua and Kohler will discuss the economic impact of hosting the PGA Championship in Wisconsin and the emergence of the state as a national major golf Mecca. The discussion will be moderated by BizTimes executive editor Steve Jagler.

A cocktail reception will follow the discussion. Attendees will be able have their picture taken with the Wanamaker Trophy and the Ryder Cup.

The cost to attend the event will be $99 per person, or $375 for a foursome. A limited number of tickets are available for this exclusive, one-time event.
