Taylor Heights in Sheboygan lands new tenants

Organizations:

The long struggling Taylor Heights shopping center in Sheboygan has attracted two new tenants, city officials announced. Emmes Asset Management Company LLC notified the city that Planet Fitness will occupy the 35,000-square-foot former Piggly Wiggly space and NAPA Auto Parts will occupy the 10,000-square-foot former Checker Auto Parts space.

The 85,000-square-foot Taylor Heights fell on hard times after the Piggly Wiggly store closed in 2005 and later an adjacent Walmart store closed. Festival Foods will occupy a new grocery store, which is being built at the former Walmart store site.

“Securing an anchor tenant in the (Taylor Heights) shopping center in combination with Festival Foods will transform the district and be a great asset to this area,” said Sheboygan Mayor Bob Ryan.
