State DOT puts land at I-94 and Layton up for sale

The state Department of Transportation is listing an 6.5-acre site southeast of West Layton Avenue and South 20th Street in Milwaukee, just west of I-94 and near the Mitchell Interchange, for sale.

The land was made available by the replacement of a cloverleaf shaped on-ramp with a less intrusive direct access ramp, which was done as part of the reconstruction of Mitchell Interchange.

The site is located just off the freeway and a five minute drive to Mitchell International Airport.

CBRE is listing the property for the state.

“This property is perfect for a company that’s looking to establish a visible, regional presence with easy access to international transportation options and the freeway,” said Ald. Terry Witkowski. “I worked to zone this property for such a development, and I am ready to work with any property developer who has a grand vision for this important site.”
