St. Francis Bank will open its 23rd full-service office in Oak Creek in August.
The new bank office is being constructed on the southeast corner at the intersection of Howell Avenue and Puetz Road.
The 5,000-square-foot bank will be a full-service branch office, including a permanent staff of up to 10 employees, three driveup lanes and an automated teller machine.
"We are excited to expand into the Oak Creek area and develop community ties with businesses and community organizations," said Tom Perz, president and chief executive officer of the bank’s parent company, St. Francis Capital Corp., Brookfield.
The location is in the heart of Oak Creek on a site once occupied by a Bank One office and Oak Creek’s Post Office. Those buildings were razed to make room for the new bank. A new Post Office was constructed nearby.
"The new bank is representative of our commitment and our strategic plan to open branches in the metro market," said Bradley Smith, executive vice president of St. Francis Bank. "St. Francis bank continues to have a very strong south side presence. Oak Creek is one of the best market areas, in our view, as far as satisfying all of the opportunities. It’s a great location."
A branch manager for the Oak Creek office will be named later this month, Smith said.
St. Francis Bank also recently moved its longtime downtown Milwaukee location across Wisconsin Avenue into The Shops of Grand Avenue.
