“The sale allows us to focus more intensively on our core product, Small Business Times,” said SBT publisher and owner Daniel L. Meyer.
All employees of Employment Times have transferred to Conley offices in downtown Waukesha from their downtown Milwaukee office.
Small Business Times launched Employment Times in 1998 as a weekly paper offering career-development advice and help-wanted ads. Employment Times is distributed throughout southeastern Wisconsin, with an increase in the number of distrbution sites planned by Conley.
Terms of the sale of Employment Times were not disclosed. Conley Publishing Group also publishes the Waukesha Freeman, the Daily Citizen in Beaver Dam, Washington County Daily News, Oconomowoc Enterprise, Hartford Times-Press, Ozaukee County News Graphic, Lake Country Freeman, Northshore LifeStyle, LifeStyle West, City LifeStyle, and others.
Meyer said SBT, founded in 1995 as a monthly and switched in 1999 to a bi-weekly, will remain under his ownership, with its offices in downtown Milwaukee. Small Business Times is circulated to 14,500 businesses in the eight counties of southeastern Wisconsin.
