The 92nd PGA Championship at Whistling Straits Golf course in Kohler will introduce the Straits Skyboxes, an on-course hospitality experience. The Skyboxes will be located on the 9th and 18th holes, with the ability to expand to the 16th and 17th as demand dictates. Companies can purchase individual sections of a Skybox, which can accommodate up to 24 people. The Skyboxes are open-air, and include theater-style seating, TVs and are fully inclusive of food and beverage.
“We are excited to introduce a unique, on-course experience for our guests on the Straits Course for the 92nd PGA Championship,” said Barry Deach, championship director. “We’ve listened to our customers and current patrons of championships at Whistling Straits who have asked us to expand the on-course experience, and we are answering the call.”
In August, Whistling Straits will host its second PGA Championship since opening in 1998.
In addition to on-course hospitality, the corporate hospitality village will relocate closer to the action. The new location, dubbed “Irish 10,” is situated just 100 yards in back of the 10th tee and near the clubhouse and practice range.
“Whistling Straits has an unforgettable look and feel. The addition of on-course hospitality will only enhance the overall spectator experience," said Scott Anderson, general chairperson of the championship and president of Kohler Co.’s hospitality and real estate group. “The on-course Skyboxes will add another dimension to the world-class tradition of the PGA Championship and Whistling Straits.”
