Six projects in region get low income housing tax credits

Six development projects planned in southeastern Wisconsin received low income housing tax credits allocated for 2014 by the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority.

The projects and tax credit rewards are:

– 5th Avenue Lofts, Kenosha, Bear Development, 60 units (40 low income units), $672,926
– Greenwich Park Apartments, Milwaukee, Mercy Housing Lakefront, 53 units (45 low income units), $652,500
– Milwaukee Prosperity, Milwaukee, Brinshore Development LLC, 35 units (34 low income units), $320,105
– Saxony Manor, Kenosha, Horizon Development Group Inc., 224 units (224 low income), $850,000
– Sherman Park Homeowners Initiative, Milwaukee, Gorman & Compan Inc., 40 units (40 low income), $850,000
– Whitewater Woods Apartments, Whitewater, Crown Court Properties, 40 units (40 low income), $286,807
