Late night talk show host Seth Meyers will headline Laugh It Up Milwaukee 2019, an annual fundraiser organized by the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.
Meyers, the host of NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers show, will perform Jan. 12 at the Pabst Theater. The fundraiser benefits programs at the JCC and partner beneficiary Running Rebels.
It will be the seventh annual presentation of Laugh It Up Milwaukee.
“The JCC believes in partnership and the power of community as we see so many of our neighbors and friends experiencing challenges in their lives,” said Mark Shapiro, president and CEO of the JCC. “This year, together with Running Rebels, we’re focused on ensuring that our community’s youth can grow up and thrive – mentally and physically – in healthy, safe neighborhoods.”
Meyers performed at the inaugural Laugh It Up Milwaukee in 2012. Other headliners have included Susie Essman and Richard Lewis, Martin Short, Howie Mandel, Patton Oswalt and Wayne Brady.
Since its inception, the event has raised more than $500,000 for programs that combat cancer, bullying, hunger and intolerance.
Tickets will go on sale Nov. 30 on the JCC website. Prices range from $45 to $95.
