The proposed Sand Valley golf resort would increase property values by more than $42 million in Rome, according to a report the town released as it seeks to create a special tax district to support the project.
That money would help make up for a marked loss in town property values since the 2008 recession and, ultimately, translate into more tax revenue for local governments and schools in Adams and Wood counties, officials say.
