Tickets for the 2011 Rock the Green music festival will go on sale this Saturday, July 23. Rock the Green is a music festival that combines concerts with an interactive sustainability experience and seeks to be as green as possible.
The festival, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 18 at Veterans Park in Milwaukee, is presented by Veolia Environmental Services, PNC Bank, Badger Meter and musician Peter Buffett.
Rock the Green has also announced that The Fray will headline the music festival and Ben Folds, Fitz and the Tantrums, Michelle Branch, Christina Perri and local Milwaukee musician, Evan Christian will also perform.
“We’re thrilled to host this caliber of talent at Rock the Green’s inaugural Music Festival,” said Lindsay Stevens Gardner, founder of Rock the Green. “The show promises to entertain while showcasing all of the ways sustainability can play a major role in a large-scale music event without sacrificing the experience.”
Rock the Green will take place at 11 a.m. The ticket prices are $25 for general admission and $50 for premier viewing. For more information on Rock the Green, visit www.rockthegreen.com.
