Census Bureau opens office in West Allis
The U.S. Census Bureau recently opened an office at 1136 S. 108th St., Suite 100, in West Allis. The West Allis office is one of 38 Local Census Offices (LCOs) opening in the Chicago Region. Seven other LCOs are currently open in Wisconsin. Additional offices are located in Illinois and Indiana. The Chicago Regional Census Center is one of 12 regional census centers nationwide. It serves as the hub of activity for Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
Cardinal Stritch adds signs at former Pabst building
Cardinal Stritch University recently erected two signs on its building in the former Pabst brewery complex, which is being redeveloped by Zilber Ltd. founder Joseph Zilber into a mixed-use urban neighborhood. The signs can be seen by travelers on I-43. The building is home to many of the offices of Stritch’s College of Education and Leadership and is open for adult classes almost every night of the week, year round. The sign was made by West Allis-based Poblocki Sign Company.
