What does your daily or weekly fitness regime consist of?
"I do a stretching, weight strengthening and aerobic program 2-3 times per week. I walk as many times as possible when I play golf. Everytime I see something to eat that is not healthy I hesitate and many times pass, but many times I give in. Knowing I work out allows me to eat some of the foods I shouldn’t and not feel guilty."

Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life?
"My golf game has improved tremendously. My clothes fit better and I feel good about myself. It’s even spurred my wife to get involved with a supervised exercise program. It’s been great for both of us."

How does personal fitness affect your work life?.
"I work out early in the morning so it does not interfere with my work activities. I have met some great people at the health club that have influenced my personal and business life."

Do you have a corporate health or wellness initiative?
"No."

How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization?
"We have a young organization, age wise, but our managers are older and more experienced. A wellness program is something we have discussed for several years. Maybe this will push us to start a wellness program."

What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative?
"The older we get the harder it is to try something new. The key to personal fitness is to start early in your career and continue with it. If you start late, hire a personal trainer to create a program for you so you don’t injure yourself."
