Press Club extends deadline on Big League City contest

The Milwaukee Press Club has extended the deadlines for both the Big League City MVP Contest as well as online registration for the City of Milwaukee Birthday Party until Sunday, Jan. 29.
The contest experienced a technical problem involving tabulation of the results which has since been fixed. People are encouraged to go back onto the site and vote for their favorites.
“We apologize for any inconvenience the glitch caused MVP voters,” said Milwaukee Press Club president Mary Van de Kamp Nohl.  “This is one case where repeat votes are actually encouraged.”
The Big League City MVP Contest recognizes “the best of the best” and leads up to the annual City of Milwaukee Birthday Party which will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 31  the Grain Exchange, 225 E. Michigan St. from 5:30 – 8 p.m.
