Potawatomi Bingo Casino is opening its new parking structure today.
The structure is part of the casino’s $240 million expansion project. The new six-story, 637,556-square-foot structure, located directly west of the casino’s existing parking structure, will add 1,700 parking spaces for the casino. The total amount of parking spaces in the two structures is 3,400.
Each structure will feature a monitoring system that lets guests to the casino know how many spaces are available. People will be able to access the casino from the new parking structure via a skywalk that will be located on the fourth floor of the structure and is scheduled to open in March.
It took about a year to build the new parking structure.
The general contractor for the casino expansion project is Gilbane Building Co.
The entire casino expansion project is expected to be complete next summer. The project will triple the size of the casino, adding 500,000 square feet of space. The casino plans to hire an additional 1,000 people to work at the expanded casino, located in Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley.
