Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc., Milwaukee, promoted Rodney Tyson to director of business development, serving Milwaukee and Chicago. Tyson joined Baird in 1998 and most recently served as a director in the investment banking group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.

Joe Quinn joined First Business Bank – Milwaukee, Brookfield, part of First Business Financial Services, Madison, as senior client advisor and vice president. Quinn has 23 years of experience in the financial services industry.

First Choice Mortgage, Waukesha, promoted Jean Badciong to vice president of operations. Badciong has more than 15 years of experience in the banking and mortgage industry. She has been with First Choice Mortgage since 2004.

Building & Construction

The Brookfield office of M. A. Mortenson, Minneapolis, promoted Nahid Keltner to project manager and hired Bradley Farrow as an assistant project engineer and Jenny Tews as a project administrative assistant. Keltner joined Mortenson in 2005. Farrow holds a bachelor’s degree in financial economics from Fisk University, a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix and is a graduate of the Marquette University Associates in Commercial Real Estate program. Prior to joining Mortenson, Tews served as an operations analyst for Quikrete, Sussex.

VJS Construction Services (VJS), Pewaukee, hired Shaun Giffin as estimator and A.J. Ottow and Justin Gross as project engineers. Prior to joining VJS, Giffin worked for Berghammer Construction, Butler. Ottow and Gross hold bachelor’s degrees from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

CG Schmidt, Milwaukee, hired Stefanie Meyers as director of human resources; David Marchant as an estimator; Bob Olin as a project engineer and John Trojan as a project manager. Meyers holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from UW-Whitewater. Olin holds a bachelor’s degree in building construction management from UW-Platteville. Trojan holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UW-Milwaukee.

J.H. Findorff & Son, Madison, hired Adam Heinze and Josh Lowe as project engineers in the company’s Milwaukee office. Heinze has served as a project engineer intern with the firm since 2005. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from UW-Milwaukee. Lowe has served as a project engineer intern for Findorff since 2003. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from UW-Milwaukee.

Consulting

The Jackson office of The Bartlett Group, Madison, promoted Janine Smith to general manager. Smith most recently served as a senior consultant for two years.

Marilyn Thiet joined Sales Progress, Mequon, as director of performance management. Thiet has more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, training and leadership development. Prior to joining Sales Progress, Thiet served as the commercial training manager for GE Healthcare, Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.

Education

Heather Schroeder joined Mount Mary College as director of student engagement. Prior to joining Mount Mary, Schroeder served as a residence director for Marquette University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political sciences from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree in counseling and student personnel services from Oklahoma State University.
Engineering

Jeffrey Knudson joined the Madison office of Crispell-Snyder, Lake Geneva, as a senior project engineer for the traffic engineering services division. Knudson has more than eight years of traffic engineering experience.

Health Care

Jill Heller joined Children’s Hospital and Health System Foundation, Wauwatosa, as vice president of major gifts. Prior to joining Children’s Hospital and Health System Foundation, Heller served as director of law school development at Marquette University and held executive management positions in her family’s business, Preferred Homes, Janesville, and was a consultant for Planmetrics, Chicago.

The Arthritis Foundation, Wisconsin Chapter, West Allis, hired Gena Fischer as a development assistant and Emily Holcomb as a community development specialist. Prior to joining the Arthritis Foundation, Fischer worked in the Chicago office of TBA Global Events, Los Angeles. Holcomb previously worked for Boelter + Lincoln, Milwaukee.

Jonathan Ferris joined the Greenfield location of Advanced Pain Management, Milwaukee. Ferris specializes in massage and acupuncture in the treatment of pain. Ferris holds a master’s degree in traditional Chinese medicine from the Five Branches Institute, College & Clinic of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Potawatomi Bingo Casino, Milwaukee, promoted Frank Fisher to assistant bingo director. Fisher joined Potawatomi Bingo Casino in 1997 and most recently served as a manager in the bingo department

Dennis Buehler joined The Milwaukee Ballet Company, Milwaukee, as executive director. Prior to joining The Milwaukee Ballet, Buehler served as executive director of the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, Brookfield, for five years.

Legal Services

Joseph Wolfe joined the Waukesha office of Godfrey & Kahn, Milwaukee, as an attorney in the corporate practice group. Prior to joining the firm, Wolfe served as a combat engineer officer with the Wisconsin Army National Guard for nine years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from UW-Madison and a law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Jeremy Mertz joined Poblocki Sign, West Allis, as a signage sales consultant. Prior to joining Poblocki Sign, Mertz worked for signage companies including ASI Modulex, Grand Island, N.Y. and Universal Sign Fabricators, Roseville, Mich.

Wixon, St. Francis, promoted Dean Antczak to director of national sales. Antczak has been with Wixon for nine years and most recently served as regional sales manager. He has more than 23 years of sales and management experience.

Ness Flores, a partner in Flores & Reyes Law Firm, Waukesha, and a Reserve Circuit Court Judge, joined the board of trustees for the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Milwaukee. Flores currently serves on boards including Wisconsin Community Services, Milwaukee; Richard’s Place, Waukesha and The Women’s Center-Waukesha.

John Bogues joined the Greenfield location of Fastsigns, Carrolton, Texas, as sales and marketing manager. Bogues has more than three years of experience in contract sales for the signage industry.

Dr. Carlyle Chan,  professor and vice chair for professional development and educational outreach in the department of psychiatry and behavioral medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, will serve as president of both the Wisconsin Psychiatric Association, Madison and the American Association for Technology in Psychiatry, Bronx, N.Y.

The Menomonee Falls office of HomeSale Realty, Wauwatosa, hired Stephanie Jackson, Don Kupferschmidt, Matthew Mitchell, Scott Pinzer and Joanie Burke as agents. Burke most recently worked for Village Realty, Slinger.

Jon Packee joined the industrial brokerage team at NAI MLG Commercial, Milwaukee. Prior to joining NAI MLG, Packee worked for Boerke Company, Milwaukee. He has more than seven years of commercial real estate brokerage experience.

Retail

U.S. Cellular, Chicago, promoted Christopher Rathsack to director of sales in Wisconsin. Rathsack joined U.S. Cellular in 1998 and most recently served as director of sales for U.S. Cellular in Missouri.

The Counseling Center of Milwaukee elected four individuals to its board of directors, including Lisa Aldrich, general manager of Staybridge Suites – The Residences on Water, Milwaukee; Christy Brown, interim vice chancellor of finance and administration for UW-Milwaukee; Linda Groth, a senior attorney for Rexnord, Milwaukee; and Scott Krienke, senior vice president of Assurant Health, Milwaukee.
