Tom Hefty, a lawyer with Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren S.C., Milwaukee, will serve as president of the board of directors of the Wisconsin Security Research Consortium, Madison. Hefty has previously served as the chairman of the Governor’s Economic Growth Council and as the chief executive officer of BlueCross & BlueShield United of Wisconsin.

Dave Goss, president of Filtration Solutions, Waukesha, will serve as president of the National Air Filtration Association (NAFA). Goss has been a member of NAFA for 10 years and has served on many of the association’s committees.

Godfrey & Kahn, Milwaukee, hired Danielle Machata in the corporate law practice group and named four new shareholders. Machata previously served as an associate in the corporate finance practice group at Dykema, Detroit. Sean Bosack in litigation, Stephanie Lyons and Jennifer Vallier in real estate and Jeremy Newman in corporate law will serve as shareholders.

VJS Construction Services, Pewaukee, promoted Alex Dittrich and Kevin King to senior project managers. Dittrich has been with VJS for 13 years. King has been with the company for 12 years.

Dean Richards joined the Waukesha office of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren S.C., Milwaukee, as a shareholder in the real estate department. Richards holds a law degree from Marquette University Law School. He also serves as the fire chief of the Town of Delafield.

Clayton Woods joined MTM, Pewaukee, as a solutions support specialist. Woods has more than 10 years of solutions trouble-shooting and help desk experience.

John Gardner joined Zeppos & Associates, Milwaukee, as an account executive. Gardner previously served as a public relations manager for a nonprofit organization represented by Executive Director Inc., Milwaukee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis on public relations from UW-Stevens Point.

Bader Rutter & Associates, Milwaukee, promoted Zach Stigler to associate creative director and hired Melissa Kintop as an account executive in the account services department, Jaclyne Hamlett as a writer in the public relations group and Maren Christensen as a desktop publishing designer in the production department.

Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, hired Dr. John Hijjawi as assistant professor of plastic surgery at the Medical College and to the medical staff of Froedtert Hospital; Kathleen Patterson, a neuropsychologist, as assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral medicine at the Medical College and to the staff of the VA Medical Center-Milwaukee; Dr. Travis Webb as assistant professor of surgery in the division of trauma and critical care surgery at the Medical College and to the medical staff of Froedtert and Dr. Hong Wu as assistant professor in physical medicine and rehabilitation and anesthesiology at the Medical College and to the medical staff of Froedtert.

Tim Van de Kamp, an attorney at the Brookfield office of DeWitt Ross & Stevens, Madison, has joined the technology committee of the Milwaukee Bar Association. Van de Kamp is a business, real estate and litigation attorney.

Thomas Wieland, partner at Reilly Penner & Benton, Milwaukee, will serve as treasurer of the Wisconsin Club, Milwaukee. Wieland has been a member of the Wisconsin Club since 1995. He previously served on the finance committee.

Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, promoted William Cario to vice president of academics and Randall Ferguson to assistant vice president of academics. Cario previously served as assistant vice president of academics. He holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and history from Concordia Teacher’s College and a master’s degree and doctoral degree in history from New York University. Ferguson has served as a faculty member in the communications department since 1991. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Concordia, Ann Arbor, a master’s degree from Bowling Green State University, a master’s of divinity from Concordia Seminary and a doctoral degree from the University of Minnesota.

Joseph E. Tierney IV joined Davis & Kuelthau, Milwaukee, as a shareholder. Tierney has 10 years of experience in real estate law, general corporate law, and tax law. He will practice from both the Milwaukee and Brookfield locations of the firm.

Stratagem, Menomonee Falls, hired Dennis Hasenfang as a .NET developer, John Selwitschka as a business analyst and Beth Weiler as a resource manager. Hasenfang is a Microsoft certified systems engineer and has four years of information technology (IT) experience. Selwitschka has more than 15 years experience as an IT systems developer. Weiler has 10 years of experience in human resources and most recently served as an employee relations manager at Virchow Krause & Co., Madison.

Douglas Nelson joined Ruekert/Mielke, Waukesha, as a project engineer in the water and wastewater department. Nelson has more than 25 years of experience in wastewater treatment. He previously served as an assistant professor and department chair at the State University of New York-Morrisville.

Potawatomi Bingo Casino, Milwaukee, promoted John Hawkins to assistant general manager. Hawkins joined the casino in 2003 and most recently served as director of slot operations. Hawkins has more than 21 years of experience in the casino industry.

Pamela Sperber joined Kowal Investment Group, Elm Grove, as office manager. Sperber has more than 20 years of experience in administrative support, office management, and human resources.

Robin Kinney joined Porters of Racine as advertising director. Kinney has more than 25 years of experience in the advertising and publishing businesses. She previously owned a graphic design company and was the co-creator of MetroParent Magazine.

Michael Falbo, Harry Franke and Carlos Santiago joined the board of directors of La Causa, Milwaukee. Falbo is the chairman and chief executive officer of State Financial Services, recently acquired by Associated Banc-Corp., Green Bay. Franke is a lawyer with Cook & Franke, Milwaukee and Madison. Santiago is the chancellor of UW-Milwaukee.

William Bertha joined the board of directors of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, Madison. Bertha is the president of the Wisconsin market for U.S. Bancorp, Minneapolis.

Laura Kippen joined Market Probe as head of the service sector practice division. Prior to joining Market Probe, Kippen served as senior director for Fact Flow Research, Chicago. She holds a doctoral degree from The Ohio State University.

Carolyn Harkins joined Haag Muller, Port Washington. Harkins has four years of professional experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Harrington Institute of Design.

Rand Sherfinski joined the Sleep Wellness Institute, West Allis, as controller. Sherfinski has more than 20 years of experience in financial management in manufacturing and service sector organizations. Sherfinski most recently served as chief financial officer for La Causa, Milwaukee.

GS Design, Glendale, hired Andrea Droese as project manager in the Web department, Jeffrey Schrab as an Internet applications developer, Jody Jozwowski as designer in the print department and Beth Farmer as project coordinator. Droese most recently served as the marketing manager for Redmond, Milwaukee. Schrab previously worked for Wheaton- Franciscan Services, Wheaton, Ill. Jozwowski most recently served as art director for Octane, Milwaukee. Farmer previously served as a project coordinator for Fullhouse Media, Milwaukee.

Greg Chapman joined Cornerstone Design Limited, Franksville, as an engineering manager. Chapman holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE).

Aurora Health Care, Milwaukee, promoted Dr. Nick Turkal to president of the metro region and Susan Ela to president of the Kettle Moraine region, Dr. Jeff Bailet to president of Aurora Medical Group and Susan Buettner to Aurora’s management committee. Turkal is a practicing family physician and has been with Aurora since 1987. Ela has been with Aurora since 1995 and serves as a senior vice president. Buettner serves as senior vice president of administrative services.

Joseph Horning, president of Shorewest Realtors, Brookfield, joined the board of directors of The Realty Alliance, which serves the United States and Canada.
Tim Keenan joined Wind Mill Slatwall Products, Sheboygan Falls, as operations manager.

Trey Brackman joined the Kindo Integrated Health Center, Elm Grove, as an acupuncture specialist. Brackman holds an associate degree in business management from Nashville Community College and a master’s degree in oriental medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine.
 
Christina Deppoleto joined Capital Data, Milwaukee, as a sales and marketing coordinator for both its Milwaukee and Chicago offices. Deppoleto has 10 years of experience in marketing, sales and business development and most recently served as an account executive for Quintec Integration, New Berlin.

Kolb+Co., Brookfield, promoted Tammy Star to managing director of Kolb+Co. Medical Billing, an affiliate of Kolb+Co. Star most recently served as business manager of Kolb+Co. Medical Billing. She has 15 years of experience and joined Kolb+Co. in 1998.

Badger Mutual Insurance, Milwaukee, promoted Brian Wiza to personal lines operations supervisor and Michele Schiesl to commercial lines underwriter. Wiza has been with Badger Mutual for three years. Schiesl has been with Badger Mutual for six years.

Casey Kuszewski joined CCISAP, Milwauke, as a senior sales distribution and materials management consultant. Kuszewski has eight years of SAP sales distribution implementation experience and specializes in chemical and supply chain industries.
 
Shorewest Realtors, Brookfield, hired Sheila Weber in the New Berlin office; Sandy Jay in the Mukwonago office; David Kurtz to the Mequon office and Chris McIntosh to the Brookfield/Waukesha office.

James Schindhelm joined Schroeder Solutions, New Berlin, as corporate controller. Schindhelm has more than 20 years of financial and administrative experience. He most recently served as executive vice president of finance and administration for International Malting Company, Milwaukee.

Noel Hopper joined Covenant Healthcare System, Milwaukee, as regional director of quality. Hopper has 20 years of experience in quality improvement. He most recently served as corporate director of clinical quality at Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati.

William Lang joined VCPI, Milwaukee, as disaster recovery coordinator. Lang has about 20 years of experience in information technology (IT) and IT management. He most recently served as senior business continuity analyst with Thomson BETA Systems, a division of Thomson Financial, N.Y.

Building Service, Milwaukee, hired Gwen Graves as marketing director and Jessica Roloff as interior designer. Graves previously worked for Graef, Anhalt, Schloemer & Associates, Milwaukee. Roloff joined Building Service from Short Elliott Hendrickson, St. Paul, Minn.

Chris Reinheimer joined Milwaukee Catholic Home, Milwaukee, as the director of dining services. Reinheimer has 15 years of fine dining and hospitality experience. 

Lynn Buckley joined Equity Marketing Services and Renaissant Development Group, Milwaukee, as director of sales and marketing for Park Lafayette Condominiums, which will be built at the corner of Prospect Avenue and Lafayette Place. Buckley has 15 years of sales and marketing experience.

Ellen Martinkovic of Johnson Controls, Glendale, joined the board of directors for In Tandem Theatre, Milwaukee. Martinkovic joined Johnson Controls in 1993 and currently serves as product and pricing manager in the power solutions division.
