Vrakas/Blum, S.C., Brookfield, has added James Broughton to its staff as a senior tax accountant in the firm’s tax department. He has more than six years of public accounting experience serving middle-market and large multinational clients. He previously worked at Grant Thornton and also at Deloitte Tax.

Deb Gierach has joined Wauwatosa-based The Equitable Bank as portfolio manager. She has more than 25 years of banking experience and formerly served as portfolio manager at TCF Bank.

Kelly Alpers has joined Milwaukee-based Mortenson Construction as an assistant marketing coordinator. She will assist with graphic design, technical writing, and the production of proposals and marketing materials.
CG Schmidt Inc., Milwaukee, has added Sarah Dunn Carpenter as its business development manager for the western region of Wisconsin. She most recently served as the director of community relations for the Hammes Company in Brookfield.
Miron Construction Co., Inc. has recently hired Andre Lorenzen as a senior project manager in the Firm’s Milwaukee office. Lorenzen has more than sixteen years of experience in the construction industry, having most recently served as project manager for a large general construction firm located in Milwaukee.
JH Findorff & Son has promoted Mike Stern to project engineer. He has been with Findorff since August 2009, and previously worked as a co-op/intern in both the Madison and Milwaukee offices.
VJS Construction Services, Pewaukee, has added Joe Thom as a project engineer. Thom previously served as project engineer for another local construction company and interned with the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation and the Milwaukee Department of City Development.

S.J. Janis Company, Wauwatosa, has appointed Nathan Wachtl to the position of senior design consultant. Wachtl brings 10 years of architectural design and project management experience to S.J. Janis, with a focus on client relationships and innovative design.
Distribution
Beloit-based ABC Supply Co. Inc. recently promoted Mike Roadt, manager of its Hartland store, to managing partner. Roadt joined ABC Supply in 2001 and was named manager of the Hartland branch in 2008. As a managing partner, he will continue to oversee the Hartland branch and become a member of ABC Supply’s National Branch Advisory Board, which advises senior management on a wide range of topics, including strategic initiatives, branch expansion, product development, technology, branch operation and company policy.
DUECO, Inc., Waukesha, recently hired Steve Freier as an applications engineer. Freier previously interned at Stroh Die Casting and has experience dealing with challenges associated with developing technical specifications for customer equipment. Bry Adler was also hired as Materials Coordinator. He has worked with the company for three years as a student at UW-Oshkosh.

Carla Rutley has joined Ottawa University-Wisconsin as the director of community outreach. She will be responsible for the University’s community outreach activities, which include corporate, community college, Oak Creek campus and alumni initiatives. Rutley will also continue to serve as development director for Tempo International and be an adjunct professor for Ottawa University and Keller Graduate Schools.

Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls, recently added four doctors to its medical staff. The doctors that have been added include: Dr. William Bradley, obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW); Dr. Jennifer Connelly, neurology at MCW; Dr. Adam Currey, radiation oncology at MCW; and Dr. John Maul, hematology and oncology at Aurora Advanced Health Care.
Extendicare Health Services, Inc., Milwaukee, has added Dennis Mattes to the midwest operations department as regional director of operations; Nancy Haynes joins the IT department as project manager; and Adam Booth joins Virtual Care Provider, Inc., a subsidiary of Extendicare Health Services, Inc., as service desk technical analyst.
Aurora Health Care has appointed Dr. William Ebinger, as the inaugural chief of staff for the new Aurora Medical Clinic in Grafton which will open Nov. 1. Ebinger, an Aurora Advanced Healthcare internal medicine physician, has been practicing medicine in the Grafton community since 1983.
ProHealth Care, Waukesha has announced that Susan Edwards will succeed Ford Titus as chief executive officer of the organization. Edwards most recently served as president of Banner Health System’s Arizona region in Phoenix, Ariz. Titus announced his retirement after 42 years in the business.
Lung Cancer Researcher, Dr. Ming You, has been appointed director of the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center. He was also appointed senior associate dean for cancer research, education and clinical care, professor of pharmacology and toxicology and the Joseph F. Heil professor in Molecular Oncogenesis. You comes to the Medical College from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.
Laura Miller, has been named director of business development for Children’s Hospital and Health System, Wauwatosa. Miller most recently served as administrative director of business development at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center in Tennessee.
Aurora Advanced Healthcare has added three new full-time physicians to its various clinics. Dr. Oksana Strunets, internal medicine will practice in Whitefish Bay; Dr. Daniel Wiske, orthopaedic surgery/hand & upper extremity surgery will practice at clinics in West Allis and Milwaukee ; and Dr. Ali Mahdavi, gynecologic oncology, will practice in Aurora hospitals and clinics in the Milwaukee area.

Adam Heffron has been named event services manager at Wisconsin State Fair Park. He has extensive experience and history developing and improving operational standards, growing events, rentals and revenues. He also has sales and marketing experience. He most recently served as the director of sales for the Minneapolis Convention and Visitors Association.

WISN 12 News, Milwaukee, has added Luke Sampe, chief meteorologist at WJFW TV in Wausau Rhinelander to its weather watch team. Sampe has been the chief meteorologist at WJFW since 2006.
