Skylight Opera Theatre, Milwaukee, has hired Jim Farrell as the company’s new development director. Farrell is currently serving as the director of corporate and foundation relations at The Milwaukee Repertory Theater. He has also had a career as a theatre artist and a playwright.
Milwaukee Irish Fest has elected its 2011 officers. They include: Donna Brady, president; Cathy Ward, vice president; Kevin Costello, secretary and Mike Dahm, treasurer. Newly elected board members include: Barb Tyler, Mary Alice Tierney, Dahm Brady, Timm Heck, Jerry McCloskey and Stewart Oliver.

First Bank Financial Centre, Oconomowoc, has promoted Casey Diderrich to commercial lender, assistant vice president. He has nearly 10 years experience in the financial industry.
Dean LaGrow has joined Ways to Work Inc., Milwaukee, as national operations manager. Ways to Work is a national consumer loan program based in Milwaukee that is targeted toward working poor families.

VJS Construction Services, Pewaukee, has hired Chris Coggins as a project manager.

Crispell-Snyder Inc., Lake Geneva, announced that Nik Damro has passed the Wisconsin Principles and Practice of Engineering Exam and has been promoted to senior project engineer. Damro recently joined Crispell-Snyder as a transportation engineer in its Milwaukee regional office.
Reserve Advisors, Milwaukee, has hired Paul Brownlee as director of business development. Reserve Advisors provides reserve studies and insurance appraisals to homeowner associations and property managers.

Herzing University, Milwaukee, has hired John Baun as director of faculty development and Todd LaSota as its new regional director of admissions. The two will focus on faculty development and student recruitment for the university.
James Loftus, vice president of enrollment management and student services at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, has been named the eighth president of Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee. Loftus will begin his term in July 2011 and will replace Kent Bergemann, who has served as interim president since January 2010.

The Milwaukee office of GRAEF has named Patrick Kressin, principal and senior landscape architect, manager of the Planning, Urban Design, and Landscape Architecture Group. The group combines planning and urban design expertise with landscape architecture and GIS specialties. Kressin joined GRAEF in 1995.
■ Health Care
Froedtert Health System, Wauwatosa, recently hired Joel Prah as director of supply chain operations and logistics. He has more than 25 years of engineering, quality and supply chain experience. Cheryl Jenks was also named director of nursing-medicine at Froedtert Hospital, Wauwatosa. She has been with Froedtert since 2008, and has served in a variety of different roles. Laura Iding was also promoted to the director of nursing-critical care at Froedtert Hospital. She has 27 years of critical care experience and has been with Freodtert Hospital for nearly 30 years.
Dr. Catharine Malmsten, has been appointed assistant professor of medicine in the division of cardiovascular medicine at The Medical College of Wisconsin and to the medical staff at Froedtert Hospital. Prior to joining the faculty, Dr. Malmsten conducted a cardiology fellowship at the Medical College, during which she served as chair of the Underrepresented in Medicine Housestaff Committee. Dr. Samantha Hill, has also been appointed assistant professor of dermatology at The Medical College of Wisconsin and to the medical staff of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Dr. Hill treats a broad spectrum of skin diseases in children and specializes in treatment of hyperhidrosis, a medical condition involving excessive sweating in both adults and children.

The Hilton Milwaukee River Hotel and The Anchorage restaurant, Glendale, have hired Michael Dietrich as the hotel general manager. He succeeds Lyle Anderson who passed away unexpectedly. Dietrich will also continue to fulfill his role as director of sales for the hotel.

Integrated Risk Solutions, Pewaukee, recently named Don Tuscany its new chief operating officer and its new chief financial officer.

Former State Representative Joe Handrick has joined the government relations team at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren S.C. He served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1995 un til 2001. Handrick will work out of Reinhart’s Milwaukee and Madison offices.
Thomas Shriner, Jr., partner in the Milwaukee office of Foley & Lardner LLP, has been named Best Lawyers’ 2011 Milwaukee Bet-the-Company Litigator Lawyer of the Year. Best Lawyers designates “Lawyers of the Year” in high-profile legal specialties in large legal communities. Only one lawyer per specialty and community is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year.” Shriner is a member of Foley’s business litigation and dispute resolution, appellate, and bankruptcy and business reorganizations practices.
The law firm of Galanis, Pollack, Jacobs & Johnson, S.C., Milwaukee, recently added Aaron Bernstein to the firm.
Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. has added Alexander Hansch to its corporate practice group in the firm’s Milwaukee office location. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Hansch was an attorney with Meissner Tierney Fisher & Nichols S.C. He focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions and general corporate matters.

MGS Mfg. Group, Germantown, has named Steve Szydlowski, president of the company and Brian Oelhafen, director of project management for Moldmakers Inc., the company’s tooling division. Szydlowski has been with MGS Mfg. Group since 1982, the same year the company was founded.
Generac Power Systems Inc., Waukesha, has hired Saul Urrutia as vice president of sales Latin America. Urrutia will be based in Miami, Fla., and has extensive sales experience working in Latin America in the backup power generation industry.

Susan Mingesz has joined Gilda’s Club Southeastern Wisconsin Inc., Milwaukee, as director of clinical programs and administration. Mingesz comes to Gilda’s Club from Wheaton Franciscan Health Care where she served as a medical social worker.
ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis has added Jody Furlong, volunteer with ABCD; Wayne Oldenburg, president and chief executive officer of Milwaukee-based Oldenburg Group Inc., and Audrey Warner, vice president with Milwaukee-based Robert W. Baird & Company, to the ABCD board of directors. Donna Davis was hired as a senior program associate and the organization also promoted Jackie Adams to program manager and Judy Mindin was promoted to mission services manager.

The Milwaukee Wave has hired Krista Momsen as vice president of ticket sales and business operations. Momsen worked for the Wave for 12 years before joining the Milwaukee Kickers as director of marketing and sponsorships earlier this year. She was director of marketing and game operations for the Wave, after starting her Wave career as an intern in 1996.
