Jay Adkisson has been named to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) Health Care Expert Panel for the 2012-13 year. Adkisson is a partner in the Health Care Industry Practice of Wauwatosa-based Wipfli LLC. The panel features 13 members from across the country who offer AICPA members expertise on finances, business reporting and audit, and issues related to the health care industry.
Milwaukee-based Boelter + Lincoln Marketing Communications has hired Michael De Boer as its new strategic marketing director. De Boer’s previous professional experience includes serving as chief marketing officer at Sweat Equity Network and vice president at Hanson Dodge Creative.
Fifth Third Bank Wisconsin has added Darci Miller to its Milwaukee office as director, commercial banking Wisconsin. In her new position, Miller will help bring in new business and expose Fifth Third’s products and services to Wisconsin businesses. She has 20 years of commercial banking experience and most recently served as a senior vice president at Marine Bank.
Maureen (Hogan) Burnie has joined Johnson Financial Group as senior vice president – director of human resources. With 25 years of experience, Burnie will manage the company’s human resources and organization development. Previously, she was director of human resources and corporate performance at American Transmission Company in Pewaukee.
Greg Downey has joined Johnson Bank as vice president, wealth management relationship manager, for the bank’s Milwaukee area of service. Downey has more than 31 years of wealth management experience. Johnson Bank also recently appointed William Feagles to vice president, business banking relationship manager, for the Milwaukee region. Feagles has 12 years of business banking experience.
Dan Matola has been promoted to chief investment officer at Milwaukee-based Jacobus Wealth Management Inc. (JWM). In his new leadership position, Matola will oversee the JWM Investment Committee and will take over the investment advisory and wealth management process. He has been with the wealth management firm since 2002 in multiple positions and most recently worked as managing director – investments.
Park Bank has hired Michael Bradburn as vice president of commercial banking. Bradburn previously served as assistant vice president – commercial loan officer at Pyramax Bank in Greenfield. He will focus on business development and commercial portfolio management and will work at the bank’s Milwaukee branch located on 76th Street and Capitol Drive.
Westbury Bank has appointed Joseph Schaefer as vice president of commercial lending in the company’s Brookfield office. Schaefer has more than 17 years of experience. His responsibilities will include building on commercial banking relationships with current and prospective clients and maintaining the asset quality of the bank while promoting all of its services.
First Business Bank-Milwaukee has promoted Craig Cerbins to commercial loan officer. Cerbins has been a part of the bank since June 2010, working as a credit analyst followed by a position in commercial lending.
Pewaukee-based Waterstone Mortgage Corp. has hired Brenda Kindred as vice president – underwriting, Craig Ahles as senior vice president – secondary market, and Hung Nguyen as vice president – human resources. All three will work at the company’s corporate office.
Milwaukee-based CG Schmidt has promoted John Zagorski, Tony Buss and Shauna Boyer to the position of project manager. The company has also promoted Joe Schmidt to preconstruction manager and has hired Tara O’Toole as a project engineer.
Alverno College, Milwaukee, has promoted Kate Lundeen to executive director of enrollment. Lundeen has worked for Alverno College as the director for undergraduate recruitment and admissions for a year. She previously served as executive director of the nonprofit College Possible. In her new position, Lundeen will manage operations of the Admissions Department, including the department’s communications and recruitment for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
Mount Mary College, Milwaukee, has added three new members to its Board of Trustees. New members are Leon Janssen, Kristine Krause and Goldi Miller. All three will serve three-year terms.
Dr. Miraj Shah-Khan, a breast surgeon at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa, has become part of the Cancer Care Center team at Froedtert Health Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls. Shah-Khan focuses on the evaluation and management of both benign and malignant breast disease.
Dr. Diane Braza has been appointed chairman of the Medical College of Wisconsin’s (MCW’s) department of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Braza is an associate professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation and an associate professor of neurosurgery at MCW. She is also the physical medicine and rehabilitation residency program director and has been fulfilling the role of interim chair of the department since October 2011. Before her work as interim chair, Braza was the medical director of Froedtert & the MCW SpineCare Program.
Anesthesiologist Dr. Marijan Jednacak has joined the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) faculty as assistant professor of anesthesiology. He will also give care to patients at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. Jednacak previously completed a fellowship in anesthesiology critical care at MCW.
Dr. Melissa Mosel has been named assistant professor of pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). In her new role, she will also tend to patients at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa. Mosel completed her doctorate degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine in Omaha, Neb., in 2009 and fulfilled her residency in pediatrics at MCW.
Dr. Ilka Warshawsky has joined the medical team at the Wauwatosa-based BloodCenter of Wisconsin’s Diagnostic Laboratory as medical director of Molecular Oncology and Genomics. Her previous medical experience includes 12 years in the Departments of Molecular Pathology and Clinical Pathology at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland. In her new position, she will help continue developing the BloodCenter’s Molecular Oncology testing and researching and will study ways to apply molecular genetic discoveries to clinic diagnostic tests with new technologies.

He has experience working on patent applications related to life science, biochemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, material science and engineering fields.
United Way in Waukesha County has hired Rebecca Schimke as communications manager. Schimke previously worked for the Harley-Davidson Museum and The National Speed Skating Museum and Hall of Fame, both based in Milwaukee. In her new position, she will oversee the planning, development and implementation of communication and marketing initiatives.
Sister Patrice Colletti has been appointed inclusion coordinator at Bradley Crossing Supportive Housing, a 60-unit apartment complex located in Brown Deer that offers housing for individuals with physical or developmental disabilities or mental illness. Colletti has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit social services. She will have an important role in welcoming new residents to the housing complex.
