Bruce Laning has joined Baker Tilly Investment Advisors as managing director and senior portfolio manager in the firm’s wealth management practice. He is located in the Milwaukee office and has more than 25 years of experience in financial and investment advisory services.
Schenck announced that the following employees have recently joined the firm’s Milwaukee office: Jeanne Jenkin, practice management consultant on the health services team; Ann Przybysz, tax supervisor; Stacey Setzer, audit supervisor on the government and not-for-profit team; Marcy Dahlby, human resources generalist; Courtney Meyer, staff accountant in the tax department; Amanda Nowaczynski, Jon Gutoski and Charles Graver were also hired as staff accountants.
Architecture
The partners of Engberg Anderson Inc., an architecture, planning and interior design firm with offices in Milwaukee, Madison and Tucson, Ariz., has named four new principals at the company. The new principals of the firm are: Eric Ponto, a designer and project manager whose recent experience includes the multi-phased North End project in Milwaukee; Alexandra Ramsey, a designer whose project management skills are key to the success of many of the firm’s cultural projects, particularly museums and public libraries; Marc Schellpfeffer, who works in Engberg Anderson’s Madison office and is an experienced designer of complex building types in the private and public sectors; and Debra Sider, an experienced project manager.
Kyle Brush has joined Chequamegon Bay Engineering Inc., Wauwatosa, as a project architect. Brush has more than 20 years of experience in the architecture industry. Jay Grow has also joined the firm as a mechanical engineer. Grow has more than 20 years of experience and is a professional engineer.

Russ Darrow Group has hired Danny Shutts as general manager of Russ Darrow Toyota in West Bend. Shutts will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the dealership including new and used car retail sales, advertising, inventory, training, customer service, and the service department. He manages all sales and service staff as well as the facility at Russ Darrow Toyota. Shutts began his career with Russ Darrow Group in 2002 and has more than 30 years of experience in automotive sales and management.

Waukesha State Bank announced that Kristin Reilly has been appointed vice president of wealth management services for Waukesha State Bank. She has nearly 20 years of experience and operational excellence. She previously worked at General Electric Company where she held various leadership roles in its global operations.
Johnson Bank has named Brian DesPlaines vice president of private banking for the Milwaukee area. DesPlaines has more than 13 years of banking experience. Most recently he served as assistant vice president at M&I Wealth Management in Milwaukee.
Green Bay-based Associated Banc-Corp announced new hires and promotions in the Milwaukee area. Karen Cullen has been promoted to senior vice president, lending compliance officer. She has more than 20 years of banking experience. Jennifer Kern has been promoted to vice president, cash management product manager. She previously served as an assistant vice president in the same department. Prior to joining Associated Bank in February of 2011 Kern worked for Marshall & Ilsley Corp. as a product manager, and has nearly 10 years of banking experience. Michael Bietz has been hired as assistant vice president, mortgage banker. He previously was a residential mortgage district sales manager for M&I Bank and has more than 25 years of lending experience.

Ted Ludwig has been added to the management team at Kelmann Property Restoration, Wauwatosa, as a project manager. Ludwig has a 15-year background in project management in the building restoration business as well as experience in new home construction.
Langer Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc., Milwaukee, has promoted David Novak to vice president. Novak specializes in difficult and complex projects and has been employed at Langer since 1996. He has 34 years of experience in commercial and industrial roofing, as well as historical restoration work.
Education
Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, has named Kimberly Masenthin as the new director of human resources. Masenthin has been with the university for more than a decade and is in the final stages of the MBA program at CUW, with an emphasis in human resources. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and received her Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification in 2009.
Lakeland College, Sheboygan, has hired Zach Voelz, director of adult degree programs at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, as vice president for Lakeland’s Kellett School of Adult Education. He will lead all facets of Lakeland’s adult learning program.

Governor Scott Walker has named Tim Sullivan a special consultant for business and workforce development for the state of Wisconsin. Sullivan will help develop and drive strategies to address the skills gap between jobs and the workers applying to fill them.

Dr. Roa Qato has joined WomenCare of Waukesha. She is a board certified OB/GYN and is accepting new patients of all ages.

Potawatomi Bingo Casino, Milwaukee, recently named Jeremy Lyrenmann assistant director of security. A member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, Lyrenmann has 17 years of customer service experience, with more than 10 years of security experience. Since joining Potawatomi Bingo Casino in 2001, he has served as a training officer, shift supervisor and most recently as security shift manager.
Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of Milwaukee-based The Marcus Corp., has announced that Peggy Williams-Smith, senior director, catering and event operations, will receive the 2012 Wisconsin Business Hall of Fame Peak Performer Award presented by Junior Achievement of Wisconsin. The award is designed to identify and recognize a metro Milwaukee individual who has shown excellence in his or her field, along with a commitment to the community. Williams-Smith has been with the company for 14 years.

HNI Risk Services, New Berlin, hired Ryan Dolan as relationship manager, Theresa Dew as HR manager, and Shannon Zoccoli as service team support specialist.
Sheyboygan-based Acuity has promoted Nick Bainter and Mike Schuh to commercial staff underwriters. They joined Acuity in 2006 and 2007 respectively.

Attorney Michelle Fitzgerald, founder of Horizons Law Group, Brookfield, has been recognized by Wisconsin Law Journal as one of its 2011 “Women in the Law.” Fitzgerald, a family law practitioner in the 12-year-old firm, was chosen from a group of more than 70 nominations. The “Women in the Law” honorees were selected based on their case management acumen, volunteer outreach, mentoring of other attorneys and demonstration of work-family balance.

Badger Meter Inc., Brown Deer, has elected Gail Lione as a director of the company. Lione, 62, was executive vice president – general counsel and secretary of Harley-Davidson, Inc. from 1997 until 2010 and served as president of its foundation from 2006 until her retirement in 2011. Immediately prior to joining Harley-Davidson, Lione was general counsel for U.S. News & World Report and its affiliates including The Atlantic Monthly Company, Applied Graphics Technologies Inc. and Applied Printing Technologies. She is a director of Plymouth-based Sargento Foods Inc. and a former director of Imperial Sugar Company. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Bradley Center Sports & Entertainment Corp., the Milwaukee Art Museum, the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee, where she is the board chair, and Milwaukee Women Inc.
Bradley Corp., Menomonee Falls, has promoted Nate Kogler to group product manager. Kogler has been with the company for ten years and most recently worked as Bradley’s division product manager for safety and industrial markets.

The Milwaukee Public Museum’s board of directors has elected and approved Mike Jones, vice president of corporate affairs at MillerCoors, as the group’s new chairman. Jones replaces outgoing chairman Richard Meeusen, who will continue to serve on the board.

ASAE announced that Jennie Macaluso-Ruditys, chief operating officer of Milwaukee-based Wisconsin Association Management, has earned the certified association executive credential. The CAE is the highest professional credential in the association industry. Less than five percent of all association professionals have earned the CAE.
Real Estate
Irgens Development Partners LLC, Wauwatosa, hired Eric Nelson as its new marketing and communications administration manager with its in-house marketing group. Prior to his employment with Irgens, Nelson served as director of communications for The Alexander Company, a development firm based in Madison.
Utility Services
Staff Electric Co. Inc., Menomonee Falls, announced the retirement of president Michael Lochmann. Jamie Sullivan, current executive vice president will assume the title of president. Sullivan has spent his entire career at Staff Electric, and will join current secretary/treasurer and corporate principal Gary Neuens at the helm of the company. Heather Wrasman, was also promoted to corporate treasurer, and Dave Drumel, was promoted to vice president of the firm’s Milwaukee office.
