Marshall and Ilsley Corp., Milwaukee announced that Judson Snyder has been promoted to president in its M&I Equipment Finance Co. Snyder previously served as senior vice president, national sales manager for M&I Equipment Finance and has been with the company since 1994.

Securant Bank & Trust announced the hiring of Cassandra Owens, loan documents processor-Milwaukee office; Carol Hudson, loan review analyst-Menomonee Falls office; and the promotion of Anna Liza Siy to compliance officer at the Milwaukee office.

Education

Concordia University Wisconsin’s School of Pharmacy added Julie Karpinksi, Pharm.D, BCPS, as assistant professor of pharmacy practice. She will instruct students on statistics, literature evaluation, and the use of drug information resources.

Marquette University Law School, Milwaukee, announced that Michael Spector will serve as Boden Visiting Professor of Law. He is a noted education attorney and will lead a new effort devoted to addressing public-policy issues surrounding Milwaukee Public Schools. The Law School initiative will be a neutral, consensus-building approach to problem-solving regarding the governance, educational practices and other matters involving the state’s largest school district.

Edward McDonald has joined the Milwaukee County UW-Extension office as the community, natural resources and economic development agent. McDonald has more than 20 years of professional experience as executive manager for various non-profit community service organizations, branches of government, private corporations and associations throughout the country. He specializes in community socioeconomic development and organization management.

Health Care

ProHealth Care added hematologist and oncologist Dr. Christopher Hake, to its Regional Cancer Center expert physician team. Dr. Hake is now seeing patients at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and at the D.N. Greenwald Center in Mukwonago.

Dr. Michael Gutzeit, currently chief medical officer at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, has been named vice president of Quality for the hospital.

Dr. Matthew Goldblatt has been appointed assistant professor of surgery (general surgery) at The Medical College of Wisconsin and to the medical staff of Froedtert Hospital, Wauwatosa.

Insurance

Acuity, Sheboygan, announced several promotions in its Enterprise Technology division including: Michael Thill, senior systems architect; Tyler Raulin, senior programmer analyst; Scott Busse, senior programmer analyst; Diane Navis programmer analyst; Jan Skala, programmer analyst.

Manufacturing

Middleton-based Capital Brewing Company, hired Todd Jarzyna as sales manager for southeastern Wisconsin.  He will be located in Milwaukee, and working to promote Capital Brewing craft beer products in local bars and restaurants, as well as liquor, convenience, drug and grocery stores with partners WOW Distributing, Beer Capital and CJW Distributors.

Office design

Schroeder Solutions, New Berlin, added Brian Fritz to its sales and marketing department.

Professional Organizations

Doris Appelbaum, CEO, Appelbaum’s Resume Professionals, Inc. in Glendale, has joined the Automobile Dealers Association of Mega Milwaukee as a friend of the industry.

The Historic King Drive Business Improvement District has added Mike Coakley of C.H. Coakley to its board of directors.

Propel Wisconsin Innovation, the non-profit organization serving as the collective voice for entrepreneurs in Wisconsin, announced its first board of directors with 13 entrepreneurs and economic development professionals representing a broad diversity of backgrounds, regions and expertise. Greg Meier, executive vice president of Milwaukee-based PhysioGenix and CEO of Milwaukee-based Lansare Corporation is the only member of the board from the Milwaukee area.
