MK Direct, Pewaukee, recently added Karin Conway to their sales team to assist in establishing new client relationships. She has more than 20 years of sales and business marketing experience; including retail marketing, long-term health care, financial services, manufacturing and marketing.

Mequon-based PKA Marketing recently added Sarah Nohr as an account manager/social media specialist. Nohr brings an expertise in social media and interactive marketing, in addition to her broad skills in all aspects of advertising, PR and marketing.

Architecture

Jill Jarecki Morin, a member of the chief executive team at Kahler Slater and a leader in Milwaukee’s business community, was recently honored with the Leadership Excellence Award from the Marquette University College of Professional Studies and the Marquette University Alumni Association. Morin has worked at Kahler Slater since 1991. In her position as a member of the office of chief executives, she oversees aspects of marketing and business development, as well as community and media relations.

M&I Wealth Management, Milwaukee, recently announced the promotion of Don Dahlman to vice president, senior financial advisor. Dahlman previously served as assistant vice president, senior financial advisor. He has been with M&I since 2004.

American Foundations MortgageBanc, Inc., Brookfield, recently announced the addition of Jan Brezina as national operations and underwriting manager.

Building & Construction

Shaun Giffin was recently hired as an estimator for KPH Construction Corp. in Milwaukee.

Mortenson Construction recently announced the addition of Matt Cool as a senior superintendent. Cool has more than years of building experience and has worked on notable projects throughout Wisconsin including Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin, an extensive renovation at the Milwaukee Theater, and S.C. Johnson’s Project Honor.  

Engineering

R.A. Smith National, Brookfield, recently promoted Chris Pinkowski, director of information technology services, to executive director of operations.

Health Care

The Wisconsin Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry recently honored Milwaukee area physician Lucille Glicklich Rosenberg, Congressman David Obey, and his chief of staff Christina Hamilton. Dr. Rosenberg received the Council’s Distinguished Service Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding contributions in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry in Wisconsin. Obey and Hamilton received the council’s Advocacy Award for their efforts in political advocacy for children and adolescents with mental health issues. 

Hugh Kirsh was promoted to director of safety and emergency preparedness at Froedtert Hospital, Wauwatosa. Kirsh will be responsible for all facility safety and emergency preparedness functions. He will also oversee Froedtert’s Security Department.

Bruce Block, an attorney at Reinhart, Boerner, van Deuren, S.C. in Milwaukee, and Mark Irgens, president of Irgens Development Partners, LLC in Milwaukee, were recently elected to the Froedtert Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

Dr. Stephanie Eken, a board-certified pediatrician and psychiatrist recently joined  Rogers Memorial Hospital, Sussex, as a  child and adolescent psychiatrists. Eken received the “Catcher in the Rye Award for Advocacy” from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2008, and has received numerous other honors and fellowships. She has both authored and presented to professional and academic audiences.

Dr. Hervey Segall, recently joined Children’s Specialty Group, Wauwatosa, as a pediatric neuroradiologist. He will be focused on patient care, creating protocols and teaching. Segall is the only pediatric neuroradiologist in the state of Wisconsin.

Insurance

ACUITY, Sheboygan, recently promoted Mark Kemnitz to commercial lines manager, and Paul Emerick and Jeff Pierce to commercial staff underwriters.

Legal Services

Attorney Gregory Erchull has joined Chernov, Stern & Krings, S.C., Milwaukee, as a shareholder of the firm. Erchull focuses his practice on commercial and residential real estate transactions, including lease issues and zoning concerns. He also provides representation for small to medium businesses.

Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c., Milwaukee, recently announced the addition of Stephen Docter, a registered patent attorney. Docter, a shareholder in the Intellectual Property Practice, comes to Reinhart from a firm in Chicago where he practiced as a patent attorney for 10 years.

Media

Marquette University provost John Pauly recently joined the Milwaukee Public Television Friends Board of Directors. MPTV Friends raises funds to support programming and equipment maintenance for Milwaukee Public Television.

Professional Organizations

The American Society for Quality, Milwaukee, recently appointed Betsy Ross-Bothe manager of its marketing services workgroup. Ross-Bothe has more than 20 years experience growing customer relationships in consumer and health care markets.

Transportation

Kenneth Voigt, a senior traffic engineer based in Ayres Associates’ Waukesha office, was recently named the 2009 international president of the Institute of Transportation Engineers ITE, an educational and scientific association of transportation professionals who work to improve mobility and safety.
