After a near 30-year run at Cudahy-based Patrick Cudahy LLC., Daniel Kapella has been promoted to president of the company.
Kapella, whose promotion was effective on March 1, will oversee daily management functions of Patrick Cudahy, which produces a variety of specialty meats.
Kapella succeeds William Otis, who was recently promoted to executive vice president of operations for the packaged meats division of Smithfield Foods, Inc. the parent company of Patrick Cudahy.

Prior to becoming president, Kapella had served as senior vice president of sales and marketing since July 2011. He previously worked as vice president of sales and marketing for the company.
