Lake Express offers summer travel deals
The Lake Express Ferry will offer a $299 Value Travel deal from July 1 to Monday, Sept. 6. as part of its extended summer schedule.
The Value Deal allows two adults roundtrip travel on the Lake Express Ferry for either the 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. departures. The deal includes two round trip tickets, and the ability to take a car onboard for free.

Parents taking advantage of the deal are also able to add two kids to the trip for free.
Lake Express has also extended its $9 kid fare throughout the duration of its 2010 season, which ends October 31. The Lake Express extended summer schedule offers daily departures from Milwaukee at 6 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.  Muskegon, Mich. trips depart daily at 10:15 a.m., 4:45 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Live at the Lakefront lineup

The Rotary Club of Milwaukee and Discovery World-Pier Wisconsin will host Live @ the Lakefront, a free concert series, every Wednesday night through Sept. 1 in the outdoor Rotary Amphitheater at Discovery World, Pier Wisconsin, 500 North Harbor Drive.
“It’s incredible to be presenting our third season of LIVE @ the Lakefront,” said Dan Nelson, Jr., co-chairman of Rotary’s Maritime Committee.  “The Rotary Club of Milwaukee is proud to partner with Discovery World and Bartolotta’s to bring this original music series back to one of the most beautiful and relaxing venues in Milwaukee.  The outdoor location of the Rotary Amphitheater literally right on the water could not be better suited for a free summer concert series. Milwaukee has a strong original music heritage, and a lakefront that doesn’t have enough opportunities to be appreciated. With the LIVE @ the Lakefront concert series, we are grateful we can create more free access to both for all Milwaukeeans.”
The nine week concert series will feature original jazz, salsa, reggae, and bluegrass music and catered food and beverages for purchase from The Bartolotta Restaurant Group.
