Milwaukee-based Ogden & Company plans to build a three-story, 23-unit apartment building with 3,000 square feet of first floor retail space, at the northwest corner of East Brady Street and North Humboldt Avenue in Milwaukee.
A vacant retail building, formerly occupied by a laundromat and a dog training business, on the quarter-acre site will be demolished.
If approved by the city, construction for the $4 million project will likely begin next spring, said Ogden & Company principal Jason Pietsch.
“We just think (the project is) ideally located,” Pietsch said. “It can help join the west end of Brady Street with the east end of Brady Street adding some density, but not too much. We think the retail space will be pretty easy to lease.”
The apartments in the building will have 700 to 750 square feet of space with rents ranging from about $1,260 to $1,350.
