What does your daily or weekly fitness regime consist of?
"I am a competitive Category 2 level masters bicycle racer. I race from April thru September on a weekly basis. In July, the Milwaukee area hosts the International Cycling Classic where a masters level rider can compete over a 2 week period with other masters from around the United States. I typically train 5 or 6 days a week averaging 350 miles a week during the season and supplementing it with weights and cross country skiing in the off season."
Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life?
"Cyling allows me meet other people in business sharing the same athletic interests. Often times people look at me a know that I am a competitive athlete and then it becomes a topic of conversation which leads to business opportunities. Being fit also allows me to experience traveling and competitions around the world. In 2007, I will be competing in the World Masters Championships in Graz, Austria."
How does personal fitness affect your work life?
"It affects my work life by forcing me to become very efficient in my time managment resources. If I know I have to train for 3 hours, I will put it into my calendar and rearrange my appointments. In addition, it allows me to utilize the time I have alloted for meetings, calls and agends."
