Creating a new online presence that’s nice to look at, easy to use and meets the needs of thousands of students and employees takes a special kind of leader. Colleagues at MATC say Charlotte Larkin is that person.
Larkin, a business analyst and project manager in MATC’s information technology department, is managing the implementation of a new digital platform, called myMATC, that replaces the college’s current intranet website.
The new platform is scheduled to launch July 1.
“It’s a complex project that requires extensive technical insight, content management and people skills,” said David Rowe, chief information officer at MATC. “When completed, the new site will provide a greater, more dynamic and intuitive user experience to access essential information and online services for all of our students, staff and faculty.”
Larkin also has developed and improved numerous administrative MATC systems. She led an interdepartmental team that implemented technology optimization across multiple platforms to improve processes supporting the college’s recruitment and admissions departments, according to Rowe.
