As chief information security officer at Children’s Wisconsin, Angela Johnson leads strategic efforts to improve security and implement new technology across the system.
Johnson is “truly a silent hero each day at Children’s,” said Tina Chang, chief executive officer of Brookfield-based information systems consulting firm SysLogic. “This role requires Angela to work across the entire organization – from physicians to parking lot facility managers – to protect Children’s digital assets and network and its people and patients.”
Johnson joined Children’s in 2017. She has 12 years of experience in information systems and security, including five years as director of information security at Baird.
“Cybersecurity is certainly growing as a major concern to society, and the strategies and techniques to protect organizations are ever-changing in complexity,” said Chang. “Angela navigates this complex world with an exceptional lens on risk management, governance, prioritization, readiness and training for Children’s – no easy task.”
