Megan Jerabek, shareholder and chair of the sports law section at Milwaukee-based von Briesen & Roper s.c., serves as personal general counsel for many current and former professional and college athletes and coaches and is a frequent speaker on legal topics applicable to athletes and coaches, including name, image and likeness.
After serving high-net worth clients from a variety of industries, Jerabek recognized the unique business and personal legal needs of athletes and coaches, according to Karen Brunow, chief marketing officer at von Briesen.
“Her goal with the sports law section was to build a team of attorneys who assist athletes with legal needs in a way that fits within their demanding schedules and ensures coordination with other advisors – so they can focus on their sport,” said Brunow.
Jerabek’s team is comprised of 13 attorneys with expertise in a range of legal specialties and certificates in sports law from Marquette University Law School’s National Sports Law Institute. Jerabek is also co-chair of von Briesen’s trusts and estates section and a member of The Sports Lawyers Association.
