As head women’s basketball coach at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for more than two decades, Keri Carollo has mentored at least a dozen former UW-Whitewater women’s basketball student-athletes who have continued their careers in sports.
They include Tiffany Morton, who was recently named head coach at Division I West Alabama after serving as assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin.
Carollo’s former graduate assistant coach, Erin McKinney, has worked in high-major and professional basketball since her departure from the UW-Whitewater staff. McKinney has worked for the WNBA’s Seattle Storm and Indiana University women’s basketball, and currently serves as a basketball operations assistant for the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies.
Carollo’s lead assistant coach, Kirsten Hammer, was recently hired as head women’s basketball coach at Millikin University.
Carollo, who also serves as senior woman administrator and assistant athletic director for compliance, was a member of the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball National Committee from 2013 to 2018, including two years as committee chairperson.
