Longtime attorney Fred Tabak, 80, founded Glendale-based Tabak Law in 2010 after an accomplished career that included serving as a Milwaukee County Board supervisor.
The law firm focuses on social security disability, worker’s compensation and veteran’s benefits issues, now with more than 75 full-time employees and thousands of clients across the country.
“Fred has improved the lives of many plaintiffs in personal injury matters as their counsel,” said Tabak Law attorney Monica Irelan Karas.
Under Tabak’s leadership, the firm has donated tens of thousands of dollars to local charities, including $100,000 in 2023 to the Center for Veterans Issues for a project focusing on mental health access for veterans. In 2021, Tabak helped create the new Ruth Bader Ginsburg Scholarship fund through the Milwaukee Public Schools Foundation to provide tuition assistance to women of color pursuing undergraduate and graduate law degrees.
Tabak is also active in the community, serving as a supporting member on numerous boards including the Jewish Community Center, Running Rebels, Community First, Inner-City Housing development and the MPS Foundation.
