Notable BIPOC Executives: Contessa Lobley

Class of 2025

Contessa Lobley founded TBEY Arts Center Inc. in 2000, when she was just 16 years old and a student at Milwaukee’s John Marshall High School. She is now executive director of the organization, which provides afterschool and summer arts education, tutoring and mentoring programs for Milwaukee youth ages 6 to 19.

She is a board member for First Generation Professionals of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Dance Council and The CR8TV House Inc. and has served as a member of the Catch a Rising Star Foundation, an organization developed to assist the arts schools in greater Milwaukee, and Peace Learning Center, a conflict-resolution program for youth.

Lobley has also served on the committee of Usher’s New Look Foundation for the Milwaukee Chapter, a summer camp that helps to empower youth through community service projects. She has taught nonprofit and entrepreneurship classes at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Milwaukee Public School Recreation Programs.

Lobley is also the principal and CEO of Milwaukee-based CC Consulting Group LLC and Oak Creek-based Hey Puddin LLC.
