Bloomberg BusinessWeek Magazine has named Milwaukee-based Northwestern Mutual the best place to start an internship as a financial representative in the insurance industry.
Northwestern Mutual’s ranking was determined by feedback from career services directors across the U.S., Bloomberg BusinessWeek’s Best Places to Launch a Career ranking, and self-reported internship data from the company. The Employer Survey Rank considered 2009 data on diversity, interns recruited, hourly pay, total pay, job offers made, job offers accepted, and the percentage of entry-level recruits who were former interns. Northwestern Mutual has also been named the best place to work in the insurance industry, and the 11th best place to work overall by Glassdoor.com, and for 13 consecutive years the company’s internship program has been ranked among America’s top ten internship opportunities by the Internship Informants in the 2009 Vault Guide to Top Internships.
