*Friday, Jan. 17, the Milwaukee Art Museum will host “MAM After Dark: ¡Baile!” from 6 p.m. to midnight. The event, presented by the Northwestern Mutual Foundation, will feature Latin dancing with a live Latin jazz band playing salsa, merengue, cha-cha-, boleros, and bachata music. The social event will also feature music by DJ Slym, salsa and margaritas, a “Dance Through the Galleries Tour,” a photo booth, a “Do It Yourself” art studio, and more. Admission is free for museum members. Attendees who join at the door can also get in for free with a friend. Admission for other guests is $9 in advance and $14 at the door. *Friday, Jan. 17, and Saturday, Jan. 18, Gallery Night and Day’s winter edition hits Milwaukee with 40 art galleries and venues open for art enthusiasts to explore free of charge. The winter art celebration, one of four scheduled for this year, also includes the 11th annual “Sculptures on Ice” exhibition on Friday in the Historic Third Ward’s Catalano Square. Free shuttles will transport patrons on a five-stop route between art venues from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday night. *Saturday, Jan. 18, the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church will hold the 23rd annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Prayer Service. The service will follow the theme “Who is your God?” The event, sponsored by Black Catholic Ministry Commission-Archdiocese of Milwaukee and a special planning committee, will run from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, located at 2nd and Burleigh in Milwaukee.
 
*Sunday, Jan. 19, the Zoological Society of Milwaukee will hold the 34th annual “Samson Stomp and Romp,” a run devoted to the memory of Samson, the Milwaukee County Zoo’s famed great ape. The race features four routes throughout the zoo: a 5K competitive run, a 2-mile “fun run,” a 1-mile race or a ¼-mile mini run for children. The first race will begin at 9:30 a.m. Pre-registration costs $20 for individuals and $15 per person for families of four or more and teams of five or more. Day-of registration costs $25 per person. Each participant will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt, complimentary zoo admission and free parking. All race funds benefit the care of zoo animals. The Milwaukee County Zoo is located at 10005 W. *Wednesday, Jan. 22, the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee will host a training session on “Reading and Interpreting Nonprofit Financial Statements.” The session is the first in a series focused on financial management in the nonprofit sector and will teach attendees how to digest nonprofit financial information. It will also cover the basics of analyzing key financial reports. The session will be led by Andy Homan, CPA and Partner of RitzHolman CPAs, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee, located at 2819 W. Highland Blvd. in Milwaukee. *Thursday, Jan. 23, BoardStar Inc. will present a webinar focused on “Nonprofit Budgeting with your Board.” Guided by Scott Haumerson, certified public accountant and partner of the Assurance Department at Wegner CPAs, the webinar will focus on how nonprofits and their boards can make better strategic decisions for budget purposes. Part of the information session will be devoted to an explanation of traditional and non-traditional models and systems that can help organizations better manage their budgets. *Saturday, Jan. 25, Above & Beyond Children’s Museum in Sheboygan will host its seventh annual Ice Golf Tournament on Wood Lake. During the fundraising event, which takes place during Winterfest in Kohler, participants will use racquetballs to play nine holes of ice golf on Kohler’s frozen Wood Lake. Event tee times run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $160 per foursome, which includes tee time, Titleist ear bands, a chipping contest and a team photo. Reservations are required. *Friday, Feb. 7, Safe Babies Healthy Families will hold its “Sweetheart Fashion Show” featuring a lunch and raffle in addition to a fashion show, all to benefit the nonprofit organization’s mission to end child abuse, neglect and poverty. The fundraiser will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Marriott Hotel, located at W231 N1600 Corporate Ct. in Waukesha. Cost to attend is $45 for individuals and $450 for a table of 10.
