*Friday, June 19, through Sunday, June 21, the Milwaukee Art Museum will hold the “Lakefront Festival of Art.” The annual event features jewelry, painting, ceramics, metalwork and other artworks for sale by more than 170 jury-selected artists. The festival also includes interactive children’s activities, live music, a wine garden and beer gardens, a silent art auction, a sculpture garden, food and more. The fest will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Activities are held adjacent to the museum, which is located at 700 N. Art Museum Drive in Milwaukee. Admission costs $10 in advance, $17 at the door, $10 for museum members and $25 for a three-day pass. Children age 12 and under get into the event for free. *Wednesday, June 24, the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation will hold a free online course about its services. The course, titled “What Can WWBIC Do For You?” will guide participants through the organization’s menu of services and support for entrepreneurs and small businesses aiming to grow. *Thursday, June 25, the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee will facilitate a workshop focused on “Financial Reporting for Your Board.” The workshop, co-presented with Wegner CPAs, will feature an accounting group roundtable and will coach nonprofit attendees on board fiduciary responsibilities and duties of the treasurer and finance committee. The workshop will also cover proper financial procedures and reporting. The workshop will run from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Nonprofit Center, located at 2819 W. Highland Boulevard in Milwaukee. Cost is $15 for Nonprofit Center members and CDBG and $35 for non-members. For more information or to register, click here.

*Thursday, June 25, East Town Association will continue the 2015 season of “Jazz in the Park.” The free outdoor music series, presented by Boston Store and Columbia St. Mary’s, brings live jazz to Cathedral Square in downtown Milwaukee. Concerts are held each Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. The music kicks off at 6 p.m. with a happy hour scheduled for 5 p.m. Next week’s show will feature Wifee & The Huzzband, a band that showcases a spectrum of music styles including old soul, Motown, rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and funk. “Jazz in the Park” runs through Thursday, Sept. 3.
