*Saturday, March 7, the Milwaukee County Winter Farmers Market will be held at the Mitchell Park Domes, located at 524 S. Layton Boulevard in Milwaukee. The indoor urban farmers’ market takes place on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and features fresh, locally grown produce. Admission is free. *Wednesday, March 11, the Waukesha County Business Alliance will facilitate a “Young Professionals Morning Program” highlighting the changing role of young professionals in the nonprofit community. The program will feature a panel discussion with Angela Mancuso of The Women’s Center, Inc.; Diane McGeen of Habitat for Humanity Waukesha County; Danny Robb of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee; and moderator Jayne Thoma of United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County. The panel will shed light on the evolving role of young professionals in nonprofits and ways young professionals can serve nonprofits, among other topics. The event will run from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Hunzinger Construction Company, located at 21100 Enterprise Ave. in Brookfield. Cost is $25 for alliance members. *Thursday, March 12, the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee and Planned Giving Council of Eastern Wisconsin will present a workshop on “Planned Giving for Your Organization’s Future.” The information session will help attendees better understand who to include in the creation of a planned giving program and how to tailor a program toward an organization’s needs. The workshop, to be led by Gregory Schmidt of The Salvation Army, Wisconsin & Upper Michigan Division, will also cover different kinds of planned gifts. The event will run from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Nonprofit Center’s offices, 2819 W. Highland Blvd. Cost is $15 for center members and CDBG and $25 for non-members. *Monday, March 16, the Milwaukee City Council of PTAs will hold a candidate forum for candidates vying for a spot on Milwaukee Public Schools’ board of school directors. The forum, which will welcome questions from the general public, will run from 6 to 8 p.m. in the auditorium of MPS’ administration building, located at 5225 W. Vliet St. in Milwaukee. *Friday, March 27, BizTimes Media will shine a light on mental health in the workplace during the Anthem Wellness Summit at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel. The event will feature a lineup of keynote speakers who will highlight techniques for stress management, warning signs of mental health issues, the importance of mental health for overall wellness and best practices for cultivating a mentally healthy workplace. Breakout sessions following the speakers will cover nutrition, fitness, stress management, and best practices for implementing a wellness program. The event, which will also include breakfast, networking and a wellness fair, will run from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $35 for individuals and $350 for a corporate table of 10.
