NL Suits opens new store in Third Ward

Custom clothier NL Suits has opened a new storefront, bringing personalized menswear to Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward neighborhood.

Owner Nas Laine recently held a party to celebrate the grand opening of the new location at 241 North Broadway. Laine has more than a decade of experience in the custom clothing industry and is passionate about delivering an unmatched combination of fit, price and turnaround time.

Growing up in East Africa, he decided to pursue a career in the clothing industry. He traveled to the fashion capitals of the world before moving to Madison and working at a men’s clothing store. He opened his own store, NL Suits, near Mayfair Mall in 2011 and has since expanded to the Third Ward due to growing demand.

NL Suits offers hundreds of fabrics with different fibers, finishes, colors and patterns. The custom- tailored suits can often be produced in as little as three weeks with pricing that starts just under $600.

“I’ve always believed that through building a man’s confidence, you solidify his identity,” Laine said. “By working with each guest to customize a suit that fits his exact wants and needs, we define and bring his unique identity to life.”
