New valet parking serves patrons in downtown Wauwatosa

A new valet parking service was launched this week to make it more convenient for shoppers and diners to visit businesses in the Village of Wauwatosa.

With downtown parking at a premium, visitors to Wauwatosa now have the option to valet park their car and walk to their nearby destination every night of the week beginning at 5 p.m.

The new service is made possible by a partnership between Ristorante Bartolotta, the Wauwatosa Business Improvement District (BID) and Parking Company of America.

The valet stand is located just outside Ristorante Bartolotta at the corner of State Street and Harwood Avenue. The service is open to anyone visiting Wauwatosa, and the cost is $7 per car.

“We’ve been looking for a way to make access to our restaurant as easy as possible,” said Juan Urbieta, executive chef at Ristorante Bartolotta. “We’re excited about this new partnership, and we hope that our fellow local businesses and visitors to the village will all benefit greatly from it.”

Jim Plaisted, executive director of the Wauwatosa BID, said, “We applaud the initiative to introduce valet parking for our customers and visitors to the Wauwatosa Village. We continue to be a regional destination for shopping and entertainment and the service will only enhance the experience of coming to the village.”
