New pub opens in downtown Greendale

Downtown Greendale is getting its first pub. Drilling’s Panther Pub and Eatery, 5651 Broad St., recently opened to the public.

The pub can accommodate about 100 people and features over 75 historic photographs on its walls, detailing Greendale sports history (the Greendale High School mascot is the Panther).

The menu features burgers, sandwiches, a few choice entrees, a Friday fish fry, craft beer and specialty drinks.

Pub owner Mike Drilling is a Greendale native. His daughter, Allison, will be the manager of Drilling’s Panther Pub and Eatery.

“(I want the pub to be) a place where the community can come together as a community … this is a first for Downtown Greendale and we want everybody to join in the celebration,” Drilling said.
