New documentary on Milwaukee’s love of water to debut in April

A new documentary zeroing in on Milwaukee’s obsession with water will make its debut during an April 7 preview screening at Discovery World.

The one-hour documentary, titled “Milwaukee: A City Built on Water,” was created by historian John Gurda and produced by the team behind the Emmy Award-winning series, “The Making of Milwaukee.” Gurda’s new documentary details the story of the city’s relationship with water and its reliance on the resource for drinking and manufacturing, among other needs.

The special preview screening, presented by Milwaukee Public Television, is free and open to the public with limited seating available.
