New construction

Organizations:

Sunset Investment Co. plans to build a 60,000-square-foot office, manufacturing and distribution facility at 3625 N. 126th St. in Brookfield for United Mailing Service, a direct mailing, fulfillment and printing company. Sunset Investment Co. hired Waukesha-based Gerald Nell Inc. to design and construct the building.

Kenosha-based Riley Construction was selected by the Village of Whitefish Bay to construct their new Department of Public Works building. The 42,000 square foot facility will be constructed using steel beams and precast concrete on the corner of Lydell and Fairmount avenues. The goal of the project was to move the public works department out of the nearly 100-year old horse barn they currently rent into a new building. Construction on the project begins in July and should be complete by the end of December.

The Forest Exploration Center selected Uihlein/Wilson as the architect and CG Schmidt as construction manager for the STEM-focused regional public charter school that will be located in the Eschweiler Buildings on the Milwaukee County Grounds in Wauwatosa. Named The University Lab School, the charter school will be part of the UWM Innovation Campus development.
