Milwaukee Co. Sheriff DAVID CLARKE announced he won’t be running for Milwaukee County executive, saying he wants to focus his energy on public safety. Clarke said he reached out to others as he looked at a bid, but decided he didn’t want to fire up a new campaign in January just days after being sworn in to a new term as sheriff.
