Muskego Walmart opens today, new Waukesha Wal-Mart opens next week

The new Walmart superstore at W159 S6530 Moorland Road opens today in Muskego. The 152,639-square-foot store, which will include a grocery department, is located southeast of Moorland Road and College Avenue. The site is in Muskego, just south of the New Berlin city limits.
The Musekgo store will have 315 employees.
"The new Walmart store in Muskego will be a much-needed economic boost for the community," said Muskego Mayor John Johnson. "We are very proud to have Walmart be a partner in our community."
The new, 177,557-square-foot Walmart superstore at South West Avenue and Highway 59 in Waukesha will open on Wednesday, Nov. 3. The store will replace the 120,000-square-foot Walmart store at W226 S1500, Highway 164, Waukesha, which will close. Unlike the existing store on Highway 164, the new Walmart store will include a gocery department. The Highway 164 store is located in the Town of Waukesha. The new Walmart store will be the first Walmart built in the City of Waukesha.
Construction for both of the new Walmart stores began about a year ago.
