Modus Desing Inc., a small graphic design and marketing firm, plans to move its headquarters from 1363 N. Prospect Ave. on Milwaukee’s East Side to a former auto garage building at 8759 N. Deerwood Dr. in Brown Deer.
The firm, which has six employees, plans to purchase the building from the village of Brown Deer and will remodel it into office space. The building’s garage door will be renovated to create a indoor/outdoor work environment.
The building is located in the Original Village area of Brown Deer. The village plans to do a $3 million streetscaping project this year to improve the appearance of the area.
The village purchased the building in 2011 to use the north side of the property for public parking. That portion of the site will continue to be used for public parking.
